Professor Hannah Fry Announced as Honorary Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales
We are delighted to announce that Professor Hannah Fry HonFIET HonFREng HonFLSW is our new Honorary Fellow.
Hannah Fry is a mathematician, Professor in the Mathematics of Cities at the University College London Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis, and a well-known author, presenter on radio and television, and public speaker.
She is a prominent figure in mathematics public engagement, enthusing and inspiring a wide range of audiences, and has received numerous accolades. Notable achievements range from delivering the 2019 Royal Institution Christmas Lectures, being awarded the prestigious Christopher Zeeman Medal by the London Mathematical Society and the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications in 2018, to receiving the 2020 Asimov Prize.
Elected an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2022, Professor Fry is an outstanding role model who is inspiring and educating future generations and the wider public on the power and beauty of mathematics.
