Professor Sir Michael Berry is one of the world’s leading theoretical physicists. He has made major contributions to mathematical physics in both the classical and quantum domains and at their interface. His many prizes include the 1990 Royal Medal of the Royal Society, the 1996 Dirac Medal of the International Centre for Theoretical Physics, the 1998 Wolf Prize and the 2005 Polya Prize.
