A Welsh-funded grant, managed by the LSW as part of the Welsh Government’s Agile Cymru programme, will offer up to £12,500 for one joint Welsh – Irish research project.

Calls for proposals are now open.

The successful project will need to meet the following two, broad requirements:

1.      Be a joint bid including researchers from both a Welsh and an Irish higher education institute

2.      Explore issues relating to language, culture and heritage with a particular focus on indigenous, minority and lesser-used languages,

Funding will be awarded in the autumn, with projects needing to be completed with three-four months and completed by the spring of 2024. Full details will follow.
