COVID-19 Register of Experts: Senedd

The Senedd is working to identify academics with expertise on issues relating to the current COVID-19 outbreak in Wales.  They need rapid access to expertise that can help us to inform Assembly/ Senedd Members so they can respond to questions from their constituents, scrutinise the Welsh Government, debate the issues arising from the outbreak and pass legislation in Wales. 

The Senedd needs expertise relating to COVID-19 and its impacts in Wales.  This includes for example, impacts on the healthcare system, employment, housing, education, transport etc. For further details, please see here.

Covid-19: Call to join expert database: UK Parliament

UK Parliament is looking for expert insights into many topics relating to COVID-19 and its impacts. If you have relevant research expertise, please join their database to help Parliament access your expertise quickly.

We have been working with Welsh Government to help develop the plans to support the continuity of learning for school children during coronavirus disruption.

But we need the help of our Fellows to fully realise the ambition.

If you have any resources that may be of interest to learners, particularly those in year 11 (GCSE), year 12 (AS Level) and 13 (A Level) please let us know. 

The government is also very keen to provide resources to ‘stretch’ those students who were due to sit their A Level exams this summer. If you have any materials, or ideas which could help, please let us know, and we can put you in touch with the relevant contacts. They’re keen to make sure that these students are not disadvantaged by the disruption, so any help that you may be able to offer would be gratefully received.

Confronting Covid-19: UKRI seeks ideas

UK Research & Innovation (UKRI) has invited proposals for short-term projects to address the Covid-19 crisis.

Projects that address the health, social, economic and environmental impacts of the outbreak will all be considered for support.
